RemoteX 1.0

RemoteX's hosting half is built on open source. These are the projects it includes, and the terms they come under.

xrdp

github.com/neutrinolabs/xrdp — version 0.10.80, licensed under the Apache License 2.0.

xrdp is the RDP server that lets other computers connect to this Mac. RemoteX ships a modified build of it. The changes make paths that xrdp normally fixes at compile time resolvable at runtime instead, so the server can live inside a relocatable, sandboxed application bundle rather than in a system prefix, and add the macOS session type to its session list. The protocol, the security layer and the session handling are unmodified.

xrdp is published by the neutrinolabs project on GitHub, which despite the similar name is entirely unrelated to Neutrino Labs, Inc. The xrdp project is not affiliated with us and does not endorse RemoteX.

OpenSSL

openssl.org — version 3, licensed under the Apache License 2.0. Used by the server for certificate handling and key generation.

tomlc99

github.com/cktan/tomlc99 — licensed under the MIT License. Parses the server's configuration files.
