RemoteX

Privacy

Last updated 15 September 2026

RemoteX collects no personal data. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no telemetry and no crash reporting. Neutrino Labs receives nothing from this app, ever.

What leaves your Mac

Only your remote desktop sessions, and only to the machines you point the app at. When you connect to another computer, RemoteX opens a direct connection to the address you typed. When you switch the server on, RemoteX answers connections made to this Mac. In both cases the traffic goes between the two computers.

There is no relay, no broker and no server of ours in the path. We cannot see your sessions because they never touch anything we run.

What stays on your Mac

Deleting the app's data, or the app, removes all of it. Saved passwords are removed from the Keychain with the connections they belong to.

Permissions the app asks for

All three are granted by you in System Settings and can be revoked there at any time. Revoking them stops the behaviour immediately.

Encryption

Sessions are encrypted with TLS 1.3, using AES-GCM or ChaCha20-Poly1305. That applies to everything the session carries — the screen, your keystrokes, your mouse, the clipboard, and the password you type to sign in.

Children

RemoteX is a general-purpose utility, is not directed at children, and collects no data from anyone.

Third parties

RemoteX contains no advertising, no third-party SDKs and no trackers. Nothing in it contacts a service we or anyone else operates.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. There is no data we hold, so there is nothing for a change to apply retroactively to.
