Licence

RemoteX 1.0

RemoteX is free to download and use, for personal and for commercial purposes, on as many Macs as you like. There is no seat count, no activation and no expiry.

Grant

Neutrino Labs, Inc. grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use RemoteX. You may not sell it, rent it, sublicense it, or redistribute it as your own. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the application except where that restriction is prohibited by law. Copies obtained from the Mac App Store are additionally governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement.

Your responsibility

RemoteX connects computers together. You are responsible for having the right to connect to any machine you connect to, for the accounts you sign in with, and for anything done through a session you open or allow. Switching on the server makes your Mac reachable by anyone who has its address and a valid account on it — treat that as the decision it is.

No warranty

RemoteX is provided as is and without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and noninfringement. Neutrino Labs does not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any particular machine will be reachable.

Limitation of liability

In no event shall the authors or copyright holders be liable for any claim, damages or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort or otherwise, arising from, out of or in connection with the software or its use — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of access, or unauthorised access to a machine made reachable with it.

RemoteX includes open-source components under their own licences. See acknowledgements.

Governing law

This licence is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
